New-tonne Lifting services - Company HISTORY
New-tonne Lifting Services Limited was formed in 1991 by Mr
Colin Morton and Mr Robert Cooch, and operated from a 500sq. Ft.
unit on Deacon Trading Estate, Newton le Willows.
In 1994 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited moved to a larger
6000sq.Ft. unit on the same estate.
In 1995 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited set up a full in-house
design facility with Autocad and Masterseries design packages.
In 1996 New-tonne Lifting Service Limited acquired a second unit
for fabrication on the same estate.
In 1998 Mr Graham Lindley joined New-tonne Lifting Services Limited
as a Director strengthening the sales team.
In 1999 RWM UK was formed to sell manufactured products to the
trade in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
In April 2003 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited move to a new
1.4 acre site with purpose built fabrication, workshop, testing
and stores facilities.
In July 2003 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited purchase and
install a new 150 tonne horizontal class one test machine giving
them the largest test facility in the North West of England
In September 2003 Mr Ben Dobbs MSc BEng (Hons) AM I Mech E joins
New-tonne Lifting Services Limited to expand the design department.
In July 2004 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited are appointed
the UK sole distributor for Motorman of Spain offering a full
range of weighing equipment and specialist coil handling equipment
In July 2004 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited purchase a 100
tonne vertical digital test machine with full facilities to test
anything from a hoist to a lifting beam or frame, the machine
is to be located in phase 2 of the new site.
In October 2004 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited are appointed
the UK sole distributor for the full range of Ausio Cranes, hoists
and crane kits, in doing so it obtained one of its largest orders
for a 20 tonne Goliath crane for a stone specialist in Yorkshire.
In October 2005 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited manufacture
and test in 2 weeks on an extremely tight schedule an 85 tonne
16m long lifting beam for use on the new Gas Terminal on the Isle
of Grain
In November 2005 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited purchase
2 new crane service vans bringing the fleet of vehicles to 7 service
vans, one 4x4 twin cab pickup, one Isuzu 3500Kg pickup, one 7500Kg
drop side lorry and 3 cars. With all its engineers contactable
24 hours per day, seven days a week by mobile phone they are able
to respond to any breakdown or eventuality.
In November 2005 New-tonne Lifting Services Limited are successfully
audited and accepted as full members of the Lifting Equipment
Engineers Association.
New-tonne Lifting Services Limited is a financially sound Company
with a turnover around 1.5 million pounds sterling.
