March 2009
1. New-tonne Lifting Services appointed the UK agent for the full range of GH cranes. With a standard range of cranes from 500kg through to 400 tonnes GH cranes is one of the worlds leading manufacturer of industrial cranes.

2. New-tonne Lifting receives an order for a new 25 tonne heavy duty double girder GH crane from Hi Tech Steel Services Ltd. to expand its current manufacturing facilities, this was the 1st order placed with GH cranes and was delivered on schedule in 9 weeks, Hi Tech Steel Services are delighted with the quality of the crane. The photo shows the cranes installation.

3. RWM introduces the new range of Divo entertainment hoists. New-tonne Lifting Services is the UK agent for the full range of RWM hoists.

January 2009
When Weir Minerals looked at up-grading their machine shop facilities they turned to New-tonne Lifting for help, they wanted to fit a new 25 tonne crane on crane tracks designed for 10 tonne,  the existing crane tracks were not capable of taking the loading required of the new crane, a full design review was carried out on the structure and up-grading carried out to take the new loadings, a new 25 tonne crane with a 5 tonne auxiliary hoist was ordered from ourselves and installed and tested in May 2009.

December 2008
2 new double girder goliath cranes are ordered for the new GMMOS manufacturing facility in Atkau Kazakhstan, the cranes, 20m span and 11.5m height were manufactured in sections and shipped by rail to  Kazakhstan. The cranes were installed in July 2009 with local labour under the supervision of one of our senior engineers. The cranes were manufactured to operate in the arduous conditions outside in Kazakhstan with  operating temperatures from –25 to + 40 degrees.

November 2008
New-tonne Lifting completes the upgrade of gantry steelwork and the manufacture and installation of 2 new 10 tonne double girder cranes and 1 x 5 tonne double girder cranes at WH Capper UK Ltd.

September 2008
New-tonne Lifting Services were awarded the order for 4 x 1000Kg Goliath cranes and supporting steelwork for Airbus, Broughton, the cranes were completed ahead of schedule and installed on site.

August 2008
When an enquiry was sent through from Bishop Lifting Services Ltd.  for a full zone 11 spark proof crane for end user Shell in Qatar, New-tonne Lifting jumped at the challenge, the crane was designed and specified to rigorous standards laid down by Shell, it has currently completed manufacture, has been verified and witness tested by Bureau Veritas and is awaiting final inspection by the client.

July 2008
New-tonne Lifting receives an order for 2 new 10,000kg double girder twin hoist cranes with remote controls and 208m of down shop gantry steelwork for the new facility’s at CMC Steel Services, the complete system was installed on time for opening in September 2008.

June 2008
4 new Goliath cranes supplied to CB&I Peru, 2 x 5,000kg and 2 x 6,300kg though Bishops Lifting Services Ltd., The cranes were manufactured and shipped to Peru in 40ft containers.

March 2008
New-tonne Lifting Services are awarded the contract to fully re-furbish the main Turbine Hall crane tracks at Fiddlers Ferry Power Station, the crane tracks 210m long had suffered severe corrosion over a number of years and had been partialy repaired several times, as the crane tracks support 2 x 110 tonne SWL cranes and a major refurbishment of the power stations main turbines was imminent with a 220 tonne lift planed it was decided that the condition of the tracks had deteriorated and needed a full overall. The crane rails were taken down in sections with 2 jib cranes mounted on the main cranes, the steelwork cleaned, the top flange re plated and the rails re-fitted with Gant Rail Clips and anti vibration mounts. The whole project was done in 2 stages with 7 engineers on site and was completed in February 2009.

February 2008
Building on the successful crane upgrades carried out at Kingspan Panels Flint a new 12.5 tonne double girder crane, 31.5m span with full walkway and Motorman powered coil grab was installed and commissioned on schedule in February 2008.

November 2007
New-tonne Lifting Services win an order for the 4 new cranes and crane tracks  for Cylinder Services, Washington, 2 x 5,000kg single girder cranes, 1 x 10,000kg single girder crane and 1 x 16,000kg double girder crane, the cranes were installed in February 2008 ahead of schedule.

August 2007
2 new 6.3 tonne double girder cranes manufactured and installed in the new hi tech Impellor Shop at Weir Minerals.

May 2007
1. A new 16 tonne double girder crane and free standing gantry structure was manufactured and installed at Hover, South Wales, the whole crane and gantry was manufactured and installed within 8 weeks for the new drum manufacturing facility.

2. New-tonne Lifting Services were successfully audited by Airbus, Broughton for the manufacture and modifications of overhead cranes.

October 2006 - People News
Geoff Clay joins New-tonne Lifting Services to strengthen their existing sales team, Geoff brings with him a wealth of experience in Lifting Equipment, from being a competent lifting equipment engineer with Lifting Equipment Engineers Association Qualifications, serving his apprentiship with Coubro & Scrutton and moving through to sales and management with Rossendale Group, Spanset and Cosalt. Geoff will take up his position on 30th October 2006.

October 2006
New-tonne Lifting receives an order for 3 new Ausio single girder Cranes for TW Fabrications Ltd., with one crane already manufactured and delivered in October and the other 2 cranes scheduled for delivery December on completion of their new fabrication.

Lydney Containers have placed an order for 2 new Ausio Double Girder Cranes and free standing gantry structure for their new manufacturing plant a Skelmersdale, the cranes will be fitted with Ikusi TM70 radio control systems allowing full control of both cranes from one handset. The total system is programmed to be installed in December.

Kingspan were so impressed with their purchase of Motorman Powered Coil Grabs that Kingspan Ireland and sister company Ward Panels have placed orders for a further 3 Motorman units. The Grabs are due for delivery and installation in December.

June 2006
New-tonne Lifting Services completes the complete upgrading of two 10 tonne SWL cranes at Kingspan to 12.5 tonne capacity with the installation of new double girder Ausio hoist units with inverter controls, Digital load weighing bottom block assemblies with radio control links to the customers computers giving an accuracy of +/- 0.1%, powered slew coil grabs supplied by Motorman and Ikusi radio controls.

New-tonne Lifting Services completes on time an installation of a new Ausio 10 tonne Goliath Crane at the new gas terminal site on the Isle of Grain, the Crane was supplied via one of its Trade Customers, Bishops Lifting Services Ltd.
